The Panopticon

Obama was in Austin, Texas on July 10, 2014, so I went to downtown to protest. I would highly recommend getting off your computer and getting involved. When you are actually out in the thick of things, you see and experience things that you won't otherwise through the media filter.

Happy 4th of July! Please do not take this post too seriously! It is not about metals, or necessarily anything of importance! It is simply meant to provide a diversion for the holiday weekend. Enjoy! Or don't! :-)

So we must be officially in the Twilight Zone when liberal blowhard Keith Olbermann joins conservative blowhard Ann Coulter in bashing the pretentious nature of soccer!

Heads are exploding over the SCOTUS decision on the contraception mandate, which I, as a woman, applaud. Why Because not only is religious liberty important, but birth control pills are actually bad for you!

I've recently re-watched Stars Wars Episodes I-III for the first time since seeing them in the theater. While Phantom Menace is still cringe-inducing in parts, I did and still do like Episodes II and III. (Mostly due to young Obi-Wan Kenobi and his awesome lightsaber fights!)

George Lucas, as flawed a filmmaker as he is, was extremely prescient, and I could not help but think about the parallels between the fall of the "Old Republic" and where we are at today in America.

So is this it? Is the engineered collapse finally starting?

With so much crazy news lately (VA scandal, outrageous Bergdahl swap, immigration crisis, Iraq falling), it seems that events are happening faster and faster.

Normally I wouldn’t want to add to the excessive focus on what may be a giant distraction, but count me in with the “WTF” sentiment regarding the Bergdahl swap. (California Lawyer has written a great article outlining some of the odd questions, which you can read here if you missed .)

You can learn a lot about people by interacting with pets. It's said that pets are like people, but people are also like their pets. By observing how pets react, we can learn something about how we often react, unconsciously, from our animal nature. Think this is not important? It's crucial, because we're being manipulated every day by people who understand this. We are being programmed.

Who has the most to benefit from a racial war in the United States? Who has the most to benefit from destroying allegiance to the United States Constitution?
