Learning resources, technical analysis for gold and silver futures

I'm working on a hobby project where I'm developing my own machine learning algorithms to assist me with gold and silver futures trading. The idea is to create programmatic representations of common technical analysis approaches, and see if this can give my prediction models a boost.

I'm at the stage now where I'm learning how to do technical analysis manually before progressing to the automation phase. I'm struggling to find trustworthy learning resources, the internet is cluttered with scoundrels and fools, so it's hard to separate good information from bullshit.

I'm turning to you fine people; can you please recommend learning materials (books / articles / youtube videos) where I can find sound advice on how to use technicals within the context of gold and silver futures?
