imagining a post holocaust world
Here are a couple of shows from the BBC, via Youtube, that try to show what life would be like after a nuclear war. I think these should be especially of interest to those who live in the US mainly because, if you can remember NBCs "The Day After", the BBC makes programs with a greater degree of realism and naturalism than American film makers.
The first is "The War Game" which was made in the early '60's and was banned by the BBCs management for the next 20 odd years.
Next up is "Threads" from the 1980's which probably is scientifically more accurate because it covers such things as the effects of EMP and a "nuclear winter". Despite it being about a nuclear war and its aftermath, I think it is still worth a watch as the beginning emphasizes just how interconnected we are and how civilization as we know it is held together by just a few "threads" that can easily be broken. While the ending is probably appropriate to any TEOTWAWKI scenario
If viruses and 'flu pandemics are your thing you might like "Survivors" but I do not think this remake is as good as the '70's original and looks a bit too much like the "Andromeda Strain"
