Who are you?
Are you a professional? Noobie? Hobbyist? What kind of work do you do? If any...? From what country? How long have you been investing? No personal or identifying info.. Just a broad swipe to get a feel for our 'mix'. I'm guessing we're extremely varied, and curious to get a sense of who we are.
I can't tell you how privileged I feel to be apart of this community.
I come here not only for information but for the comfort of being around like minded people that respect and share differing opinions. I love the way this community claims and protects the Turd as 'ours'. Serious warm and fuzzy. Jerks not welcome.
Additionally I believe this to be the highest and best use of internet. Bringing together people that would otherwise never touch each other's lives and minds. We're improving ourselves through our community.
With that said, I've been curious about the makeup of our community. Would you like to weigh in about yourself on a surface level? Nothing too personal and please use discretion.
I'll start,
Female, small business owner, still afloat but struggling. Over 55, no kids. Non-professional investor, fairly new to investing only about 3 years. Resident of the US, would be considered conservative or libertarian or a rebel but I can't stand labels. Independent thinker would probably be the best description. Nature/animal fan, capitalist, cautious, very concerned about the future, would love to own a BMW 6 series and go fishing everyday.
