My analogy for the US Govt and the Banks

So I was trying to find something to compare the US Govt and the Banks to, and here's my latest analogy:

The Govt and the Banks are husband and wife. The wife has a gambling problem. She's gotten DEEP into debt. DEEEEEP. The husband hasn't done anything about it before this (denial? wife has blackmail pix of hubby with a sheep?) except put a second mortgage on the house and make the wifey promise to go to G.A.

Until the wifey wanders by a casino, and........
