Day Trading Techniques

Hey guys. I was wondering if any one in here is an actually day trader (futures). Some one who is in and out of the market before close. Im interested in becoming a full time day trader however i want to learn how to scalp trade and what are some good techniques if any one has found here that works for them on 5 minute charts or 15 min charts. Scalping a few points off the ES for instance. IM position trader that trades classic formations H&S Double tops ect off of daily and weekly charts. The problem my set ups take so long before they become a trade and i dont get that many trades waiting for them to come. Any one got good suggestions on short term techniques?
