The People's Bank of China (PBOC) updated their gold reserve figures earlier this week for the first time since 2009. The amount was lower than many had anticipated.
Indeed, the amount was far lower than the Chinese gold mining production and imports through Hong Kong and Shanghai since 2009.
If all that gold didn't end up at the PBOC, where is it?
