When quoting someone in a thread on a forum, subject should not be a required field

When quoting someone in a thread on a forum, subject should not be a required field. I just don not see any practical reason why a reply would need a subject. Just my 2 pennies for today. Thanks and love the site. I told a couple friends to register already and they did :)
