Our old pal, Denver Dave, stops by and his timing is perfect. With all that's going on in the banking sector, I can think of no one better to have as a guest today.
If you're somehow unfamiliar with Dave, you can find more about his background, experience and newsletters by visiting his website. You heard me repeatedly state the necessity of finding independent and objective voices. Well, Dave's perspective and experience is invaluable in this day and age.
For today's call, we tried to stay focused upon the current, Fed-driven banking crisis. Over the course of these 25 minutes, we discuss items such as:
- Credit Suisse, Deutschebank and EU contagion
- the solvency/insolvency of U.S. regional banks
- how commercial real estate exposure will soon exacerbate solvency issues
- where the metals and miners go from here
- and a lot in between so please listen closely
Also, in this call, Dave implores everyone to listen to last week's Thursday Conversation with John Titus. If you missed it, here's the link: https://www.tfmetalsreport.com/podcast/11998/thursday-conversation-john-...
And one more thing. During this call, I mention to Dave something that caught my ear during Jerry's presser yesterday. I've not seen/read any commentary on this today so maybe it's nothing. At the time, though, it didn't strike me as "nothing". Below is a screenshot of the press conference transcript as well as a a definition taken from The Fed's own website.
Many thanks to Dave for sharing his time with us today. Please be sure to give this podcast a thorough listen. You will be glad that you did.
